Our whipped tallow balms are crafted with 100% natural, premium ingredients and contain no synthetic stabilizers or chemical hardeners. Because of this, they are sensitive to extreme temperatures.
Temperature Sensitivity & Melting Disclaimer
In Warm Weather / Transit:
Tallow naturally softens or melts at warmer temperatures (typically above 85°F / 29°C). If your package sits in a hot mailbox or on a warm porch, the product may melt. If your balm arrives melted or soft, do not worry! Simply pop it in the refrigerator for 15–30 minutes to solidify. The whipped texture may change slightly and become a bit more dense or balmy rather than whipped, but its incredible skin-nourishing properties remain 100% intact and effective.
In Cold Weather:
Exposure to freezing temperatures can cause the product to become firm. Let it adjust to room temperature naturally before use.
Shipping & Delivery Best Practices
Because natural tallow products can melt in hot weather, we strongly recommend tracking your package closely and ensuring someone is home to bring your delivery inside immediately upon arrival, rather than letting it sit outside in direct sunlight or high heat.
Cracked & Ashy Tallow Co. is not responsible for packages left outside in extreme weather conditions for extended periods. If you know you will be away, we suggest having your package shipped to an indoor workplace or a secure pickup location.
Everyday Storage
To maximize the shelf life and quality of your tallow skincare:
- Store your products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, radiators, or extreme heat sources.
- Always use clean, dry hands or a cosmetic spatula to scoop out the product to preserve its natural freshness.
